This process helps you to understand what type of colours suit you best and which colours will enhance your own colouring. It is not as simple as being able to wear a colour... you will find out what shade or tone of that colour will be most flattering.
The Consultation
- We will discuss why you wanted to have your colours done, so I can understand your needs and therefore tailor the consultation to them.
- I will then look to see what family of colour you belong to (your dominant colouring) by studying how light or dark your own colouring is, whether you have a warm or a cool skin tone or whether there is contrast between your hair, eye and skin tone colour. Once your dominant type of colour has been identified, I will look at your secondary and tertiary colours by holding up different tones of colours to your face to see which ones suit you best.
- Next, I will show you which makeup colours will suit you best, as well as how to apply them best in a makeup lesson. I tailor the type and style of makeup to your needs – whether it be subtle or dramatic... you will be inspired!
- Finally, I will guide you through your "pallet"; this is a leather wallet that contains all 42 swatches of colours that are in your range. I will pick out your best neutral colours for staple items such as suits, jackets and coats as well as items that you might invest in such as an outfit for lots of events. I will then help you to find out which are your "wow" colours - these are the colours that will make you look fabulous – and cause others to comment for all the right reasons. And finally - I will find the colours that work well together, in any combination - whether in a pattern or in separates.
